On long weekends and breaks, cadets are allowed to leave by the TAC officers after their last duty, usually the lunch formation for the day before the weekend if they have no afternoon classes.

Compression shorts: none will be issued, and they are quick nice for running and rucking as you could probably guess. Also, wash them yourself as cadet laundry will likely destroy them.

I simply look at it as a guide to narrow down the list of majors I'm interested in.

Well, we're in an entirely different boat competing for different slots, so not really even that. There are soldier slots in general because we bring a little more maturity and life experience to round out the classes.

Minor traffic incidents aren't of concern. They're screening for gross negligence and just to have the complete picture. I was at fault in a minor but costly traffic accident months before shipping out. It wasn't even brought up during my security interview.

Indeed scout, I am surprised that my favorite boots to march in are still the DSCP standard issue ones from basic. They simply are the best fitting pair I have, but that could be my own fault too :shake:

Smoking is physical training with the intent to induce exhaustion, cause pain, and induce vomiting. The mainstay of basic training. The cadre leading a smoke session know you can't do every exercise, they are simply observing how you handle it and how hard you push yourself to not quit.

They are looking for anything, including minor traffic violations. It is to ensure new cadets will be eligible for security clearances when it comes time to commission. The most common disqualifier for a clearance is outstanding debt, which new cadets should not have a problem with. A parking...

I believe it is perfectly acceptable. Out here on deployment, my unit is self policing. If we see people posting things they really shouldn't, we make sure it get corrected. Building good security habits early is a good idea particularly in leaders. There is no malicious intent here beyond how...

You can definitely contact admissions and express your interest but as far as I know they only open files for the next incoming class. Does not mean you can't be prepared and get everything together.
