cadet life

Hi all, I was wondering - are cadets allowed to stay on campus during breaks, including any time off they get during summer? If so, what is it like to stay on campus during a break? Thanks in advance for any response!

I'm currently a Rat wrapping up the Ratline, or six month indoctrination process at VMI. Also, a mechanical engineering major and Midshipman 4th Class in the Naval ROTC unit at VMI. Ask me anything!
