    AGR

    I know that the Active Guard Reserve is an option for officers. From what I have seen, you cannot commission into the AGR from ROTC, as"you must be pending discharge from your component" (usar.army.mil). Is it hard to get into AGR as an officer before your discharge? Is it very competitive...

    National Scholarship Winner

    I won a 4-year national scholarship out of high school. I am now an MSIII. Does this guarantee that I'll get active duty if I put in for it? My PMS said he never heard of a 4 year winner not getting active.
