I graduated the US Naval Academy in 2008 as an officer in the Marine Corps. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan. I loved my time at the Academy and am definitely enjoying my time in the Marine Corps.
I am more than willing to talk to any candidates or prospective candidates about what to expect out of USNA. While many repeat the mantra "A great to be from, a bad place to be," there are unbelievable opportunities for every midshipmen to learn, experience the world, and prepare themself for leading sailors and Marines while at the Academy.
I haven't returned to the academy since my graduation, but certainly look forward to doing so when I return home. For those of you who have been accepted or whose children have been accepted to an academy, congratulations. You all have a great time ahead of you.
