100s night is THIS WEEK!!

J Nordic: are we talking about the kid who wouldn't eat RICE until he was about 18? Or toast, with butter? lol
He's a lot less picky than I am...Anyways, I can trust him not to hold it against me if I burn something the first try  He hasn't complained about anything I've made him so far...

Casual for 9-10 months seems so boring. You graduate from the academy and you want to get on with your life. But instead, you hang around doing make work. I understand that they can't start everyone's pilot training in August, and I'm not complaining. (I think I know the military and why they do things. LOL). Just pointing out that casual isn't all that it's cracked up to be. My son was glad that his pilot training was the first session. It was to start in August. He was even going to be in Pueblo doing initial training and was going to make it up to the academy for the parent's weekend opening day football game and Thudgate.

The plans have since changed, but until then, he was so glad that he didn't have to do too much casual. A month or two is one thing, but we've had quite a few friends who left the academy and had 6+ months of casual. It isn't all that great.

Because there are so many other Lts on casual at the same time, they usually have a good time. And I know my bf is looking forward to having every weekend be blue over the winter. He'll definitely brag about that one while I'm marching on to football games
