Hopefully tonight will not be too bad for you 4/c, just a small reminder of what you went through in Swab Summer.

But tomorrow will be worth it - ENJOY IT!

I'll bite.

Luigi, what is going to happen tonight?????

What about tommorrow

Just curious...is there anything special that happens tomorrow, or is it just that tonight is over?

If you need to keep it private, just PM me.

thanks

100th Day is known to all, it's 101st night which is generally not talked about except for the fact that it is not all that fun.

On 100th Day (100 days before graduation), 4/c and 2/c switch rolls for the day. 2/c dress like 4/c and square meals, double time, march to class, etc. 4/c can listen to music, talk in the pways, inspect rooms, etc. As fun as 100th day is for the 4/c, I had more fun as a 2/c.

It's also important for the current 4/c to remember.....there is a 99th day, and on that day, you're a 4/c again...so don't make too many of the real 2/c angry. :thumb:

Don't forget the most important privilege - 4/c get to write on the white boards!

Today I:

Walked and talked to class, used side doors into academic buildings, inspected the "fourth class" before lunch, stood meal security (normally a 2/c thing, was pretty boring actually), had carryon while I ate, wrote on my whiteboard and now I'm listening to some music. All in all a nice day.

Last night wasn't all that bad, but I wouldn't really call it fun by any means. A lot of indoc questions to get our minds in gear for boards and to make us realize how much studying we have to do.

that sounds like tomorrow will be a big wake up call. lol hey i have a question: wat is a clock orderly? some mentioned it and i dont kno wat it is

Luigi, white boards weren't always around....used to only be note cards...no other options.

LITS: So even upperclass had to do properly formatted notecards when leaving the barracks after 1900 or going on libo?

averx: whenever we have a formation, a 4/c will post under each of the clocks in the wing area and at 60 and30 second intervals call out information on how much time until formation, where it is, what the meals are, etc. A typical line might be as follows:

"There are now 5 minutes to go until this afternoon's meal formation! This afternoon's meal formation will be held at fair weather parade. For lunch this afternoon, the wardroom will be serving (blah blah blah)"

That's really all you need to know. Time for class.

Haha, the formatting wasn't so proper....generally as an upperclass you would just write "Libo" or "Dimick"....

We always cared about what was being served too. Also, at some point (forget when), you're just "spewing" info, with no pauses. You pause, and a 2/c corrects you.

And uniform, during fair weather parade.....always asked "with or without?"

ok thanx. i had no idea what it was. yay indoc...jk lol

During pre-Internet days, you know back in the Stone Ages, the upperclass actually cared about the "movies playing at the Waterford 8" since almost no one subscribed to The Day. I can't remember exactly when Chase Hall stopped ordering a newspaper per cadet room, but it was a sad day in CGA History when the "Newspaper Orderly" became extinct.

Newspaper orderlies went away in....2003 or 2004. I remember having to do that, having the plastic cut your fingers are you tried to carry way too many newspapers at once.

Waterford 8 did take on some extra importance as the weekend approached. I don't remember caring much about movies on a Monday. Come Thursday or Friday, it mattered.

Most important day to listen to the meals was Wednesday.
