Should you/Can you send in your first quarter transcript to update your application? DS now has a better GPA and class rank, but I cannot find an answer to this question on the website. Any info is appreciated!

We emailed my son's 1st Quarter report card to admissions about a week ago, and they responded informing us that it WOULD be added to his file. I guess it depends on how far along they are in the review process, but it's worth a shot...

we also sent in our son's grades. Then we followed up with a call to make sure they got in his file. Fingers are crossed. All of the cadets for a day were full so son didn't get in to one....

For those who have been deferred or want to update their records the first quarter grade reports are nice to send. These should be official records sent out from the school's Guidance Department, rather than emailing transcripts (which are unofficial copies). Official school transcripts/grade reports have the school's seal on them and often include the students SAT/ACT scores as well (these are often small labels sent to each high school that are attached to the transcript). Depending on when your S/D semester ends, those are also nice to send.
I would suggest that your S/D request that official copies be sent from their Guidance department. Many high schools are able to sent an official copy via the Internet. Others may just want you to provide a SASE for mailing.
