Been looking through the threads from previous months to see if I could dig anything up, but didn't see anything.

I was talking with my MSIV Squad TAC (and several others), and he told me that LDAC is now two years (or maybe there's a new name for this), starting with my class (starts summer 2015). Now it occurs between in the summer between soph. and jr. year AND jr. year and sr. year.

Has anyone heard about this?

I went to CC's website to look for said news, found nothing. When to the Army's news archives, found nothing.

You may be referring to the new Cadet Initial Entry Training, or CIET, which will take place between every cadet's freshman and sophomore year.

Nope - I already know about that.

That occurs between MSI & MSII year. I'm literally talking about 2 iterations of LDAC, one between MSII & MSIII year, and the other during the traditional summer between MSIII & MSIV year.

From that same article:

"...for cadets entering their junior year, a Cadet Leader Course is being developed. The CLC will be tested in 2015 and be available to all cadets in 2017, Smith said. The seven weeks during summer will consist of four weeks of tactical training for all cadets. Then some will branch off for three weeks of special training, such as Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency."

Hmmm - guess that's what they were referring to then. Thanks

Haha - well it doesn't affect you at least. Mission Set 17 gets to be the guinea pigs, with it going into full effect for Mission Set 19 (supposedly) ... we'll see what happens with the budget in a few months.
