Good afternoon everyone. I'm creating this thread to possibly give us AS200 and AS250s a little bit of motivation. We received some numbers last night about the averages for last year and they are as follows...

Tech: GPA=3.31 PFA=97
NonTech: GPA=3.48 PFA=96
Rated: GPA=3.38 PFA=96

Although this isn't everything that goes into your packet it can give you a good feeling for where you sit. Remember that for every 4.0 student that is picked there is a student with a lower GPA. The same goes for PFA scores. So keep up the good work, have a great semester, and go get that EA!

It is for AFROTC. Cadets as a sophomore meet another board to see if they attend summer field training. If not selected, chances are high that they will be disenrolled from AFROTC.

It is said that things will look very similar this year. Numbers are down with my Det for the start of the spring semester, but we also had many people not make it to the boards and there is a possibility that in the end more could be meeting the board if no one drops. There are just so many 500s.

Just focus on what matters and everything else will fall into place.

That is the truth. The reality is you really can't do anything more. There is nothing you can do about your AFOQT, nor your cgpa, or whether you are tech or non tech. For some the PFA is already done.

Worrying about it won't change anything stepping up to the plate as a cadet showing to the cadre that you are confident and not concerned about this will be important in the future either way. If passed over to get a 500 slot or in the end of this semester for your fall job when you come back as a POC.

Can't wait to find out if my son gets selected for FT! I am definitely getting excited, typical proud mom here. ;)
