2014 Fall Semester Calendar

I know this is ridiculously early, but does anyone know how reliable the fall semester calendar is? I'm already making plans to bring DD home for Christmas because there are only a limited number of flights to Alaska in the winter months. My travel agent said we should get started on it NOW!

Is there a chance that the cadets go longer in their finals week than the schedule reports? Is there a risk that they will carry finals into the beginning of the next week?

The academic calendar is posted above the main USAFA page in the USAFA Academic Calendar thread. LMD (Last Military Duty) is the date/time that each cadet is released for travel home. At the end of the semester, LMD will vary depending on the time of each cadet's last final exam or other required activities. DS's schedules to come home have changed multiple times over the past two years and we have heard that this is common, so I would advise that you chat with other Alaska parents/cadets to see how they handle making flexible flight arrangements.

I have just recently joined an Alaskan all academies parent group. I bet they are the right people to ask this question. Thank you for giving your time and thoughts to this post. :thumb:
