Does anyone know what the 2016 class motto is? Someone thought they knew it before inprocessing but they couldn't say... then, more recently, there has been gossip that it might be 'forged in fire'. Does anyone know???

The assigned mottos haven't been very high quality, lately.

...better than "endless horizons" that one recent class got.

Agreed. 'Never falter, never fail' was pretty good, but I can't say I get super excited about '13-16 mottos.

I also liked "Never falter, never fail" but 2014's "Like a Machine"? What the heck is that even supposed to mean? My son was glad to switch over to "Zeamer!"

2016's motto is "On Target, On Time," which is part of a bomber squadron mission. It is meant to echo the Commandant's 5 rights (Right place, Right time, in the Right uniform, with the Right attitide, ready to do the Right thing). The BCT Cadet Group Commander selects the motto for the incoming class.

Recent class mottos/Exemplars:
2011 - Endless Horizons/ Brig Gen Robin Olds
2012 - Never falter, never fail/ Gen of the Air Force Henry H "Hap" Arnold
2013 - Best to be seen/ Gen Cutis E Lemay
2014 - Like a machine/ Lieutenant Colonel Jay Zeamer
2015 - One fight, one team/ Wright Brothers

I love my class's motto: "One fight, one team! ahh woo!"
It's also pretty cool saying "Bros" all the time.

I liked the suggested motto posted on MLIC: "Forged in flames" (or fire, can't remember...)

It is On target on time,...... The new Commandant had suggested Forged in Fire to some Cadre just before I day and thats why you hear it, but that is all. It is On Target On Time.

It's too bad they select them in advance. The "Forged in Fire" would be a very original and appropriate class motto. I'm betting it takes on n informal motto status for 2016.
