2016 NASS

DS is applying for this summer's NASS. The online application instructions are headed with a big orange highlighted sentence: "NOTE: Please use Internet Explorer to fill out this application." His challenge is that we are a Mac family. We don't own any Internet Explorer machines. He has never used one! Any insight and/or advice?

I did my entire application (for NASS and c/o 2020) on a Mac without issue.

Probably USNA has noted problems when using a MAC to complete the application, so that is why they are indicating to use IE. Sometimes, popups or 'fill in the blank' type documents do not work correctly on certain operating systems. Perhaps your son knows some other student who has IE in their household and could make us of that PC to fill out the application. As I recall from prior years, you can't update the NASS application once submitted, so best to get it right the first time.
