Hello, I submitted my application for the Summer Seminar two weeks ago. And till today, my application status still shown as :" Application submitted (your application has not yet been processed by USAFA)". It has been two weeks already, I am just wondering how long it take for application status change?

Any Anyone receive any decision in regards to the 2018 Summer Seminar?

After I submitted mine, I got an email from one of the admissions officers stating that: "We will let students know about acceptance in to Summer Seminar in February/March".

Nope, same as yours: "Application submitted (your application has not yet been processed by USAFA)"

Admissions posted on Instagram that they received over 3200 applications, were working as fast as possible to review them, and would notify applicants in March.

Hang tight everyone. I know you’re all excited and anxious to hear back from the Academy. And this is the moment many of you have been waiting for to start your application to the Academy.

Last year when my DS applied, USAFA worked through very quickly and you can expect to hear back within 10-15 days after submitting. They may have a weekly board meeting to ID candidates. You can also be rolled over until March to be considered. So don’t sweat it and give the Air Force time to get to know you and your peers. And enjoy your Junior Spring and don’t forget that this is the most important Semester to keep your grades strong and test well! We know how you all feel. It is truly exciting to finally get things started! Remember it’s a Marathon, so stay away from distractions. Things can easily pass you by. Good luck class if 2023!

Hello everyone! My name is Elizabeth and I have applied to the summer seminar program as well.

I visited USAFA last year for the weekend with my grandfather and dad. I believe it was the Falcon Experience and there were a lot High School kids there. I loved the campus and the area. We got to tour the entire campus and we spoke to several cadets.

My summer application status is:

Your Status:
Applicant (your application is under consideration)

I was told it could be March 1st before notification. Good Luck to everyone!

Lucky you! I just checked my status still shown as Application submitted (your application has not yet been processed by USAFA. Do you mind to let me know when did you apply?

My status changed from "not yet processed" to "applicant" today. From what I can gather from previous year, the committee meets weekly in February and will send some notifications out the following saturday-monday. So we could see some decisions by the (fingers crossed!) 3rd, or realistically the 10th.

Trust me the Lts in admissions are working really hard on this. But like the military they have many other things to do. This week they have been hosting interviews for the next wave of admissions Lts (im a hopeful).
Just give it some time and you will learn soon enough. When you get to Usafa you will quickly see no one person has a single job of requirement to complete.
To give you a idea, there are roughly only 4 People (all Lts) that are going through 3200 applications.

I applied during winter break last December; this morning I woke up to the portal saying the same thing: Applicant (your application is under consideration).

@keeperkat90 I know we shouldn't expect our decisions until March, but I have been accepted to NASS and must accept or decline the offer by February 9th. I'm not sure if I should decline NASS and take the gamble that I get in to AFASS (my first choice), as I wouldn't be able to attend both. I guess I am hoping for a miracle in that I receive my decision before February 9th.

You can attend both of them. There’s no rule saying you can’t go to two different academies. I attended summer seminar at Usafa and at coast guard and did candidate visits to navy.

@Iferry, I also applied to NASS last week. You already accepted to the Seminar! Congratulation! Do you mind tell me when did you apply?
