Here is a review of this year's U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association (USNAAA) of North Texas Blue Chip Dinner

What: Dinner and outreach for USNA candidates
Who: 56 candidates and their parents
Total: Lots; maybe 300?
Where: Area country club
When: 12/18/2019 6:30-8:30 (and beyond)
Who else: Lots of mids; DD says this was great; they were only a year older and they gravitated to each other as only 17-18/21 years olds do. By the time seating started, she was 1/2 way across the room with mids as other attendees filled the reception area. DH and I planted ourselves near the cash bar and facilities and spoke to any current parents/alumni that happened our way. Hint: your table will be on the back of your name card so if you lose your DD/DS, you can find them again when seating starts.

How invited
Someone please update here....
Initial invitation 11/12/19
Guess: maybe area BGO and other input

Timeline:
6:30 arrival, check-in, photo op, mix and mingle, cash bar
6:45 ish seating
6:45 to 8:45 dinner and program
Guest speakers:
4 Midshipman speakers 4C to 1C (humorous, insightful, educational)
Navy Seal (really excellent)
Vice Admiral Sean Buck, Superintendent (excellent)
LOA holders (about 8) asked to stand, about 6-8 more took the stage and got LOAs, no one got an appointment this evening (or else I missed it - someone please update).

We (3) seated with another family (3), a BGO, and 2 alumni and alumni spouse. Really fun to meet everyone but not much opportunity to speak since dinner was served/eaten while speakers presented. DD had a great time and was excited to tell us her discussions with the mids, the other DS from the Black and Gold Dinner, and a fellow FVE'er. The USNA board member for her Congressman was there and had nice words to say to her.
