2021- One month of CPR left!!!

So tomorrow will be 10 days left till the USNA has to tell CPR something. That is really just 7 days if you subtract weekends and Good Friday. The wait is almost over! So if my calculations are correct, CPR has a 14.3% chance of hearing something tomorrow. I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I think there are some BFE's in it.......:bounce1:

The time has come. Today I received my TWE from the United States Naval Academy Admissions office. I think I took the news better than I had expected. I really just found myself being thankful and honored by just the very opportunity to apply to such a fine institution. It's also been amazing to meet all the respectable students who were applicants just like me. I wish everyone who is still CPR the best of luck, and may God bless all of the families of those applying.

I remember talking with you about last year's Summer Seminar and to hear this really sucks! Keep your head up and I wish you the best.

DS got TWE...sad but he has great options for College...Cal Poly, Penn State, NAU, and possibly a program at a Community college doing something he loves.
He may also go enlisted, have to see what he decides.
Good luck to everyone!!

CaliNavyMom, let me know if your DS goes to Penn State, looks like that is my DS's 1st choice! They could be in NROTC together.

So sorry to hear that, SeanBrom, all the best to you, with that attitude you will be outstanding at whatever you do.

After not securing a nomination, I also received a TWE about a month ago. It definitely hurt but I've known based on where I go to school that I was never extremely competitive for '21.

I can take some comfort in that I haven't met a lot of people who, after being turned down by USxA, pursued a different path to commission and didn't end up being successful and making a positive impact within their community. This can mostly be attributed to who they are as people and not where they went to school.

DS still CPR, last night his team won District semi's so he will be distracted for a while preparing for the playoffs. Thankful, grateful and blessed.

So here is the latest scuttlebutt, not substantiated but it seems to make sense. The rumor is that 2021 will be a very small class. Only like 1060 offers of appointment due to so many accepting offers in 2020 and 2019 and so few quitting.

A wait lister from this year posted earlier her letter from USNA Admissions specifically stated the class size this year will be 1165.
