Why did he decline? #15?

#15 posted appointment to USNA with "will accept." You will find that some candidates use USMMA as a plan B. #10 above also declined USMMA appointment after accepting USAFA appointment. My DS originally had USMMA as his plan B to USNA, but ended up selecting USMMA even though he was offered appointments to both. By the time my DD applied 8 years later, USNA was her plan B and she turned down USNA prep school for USMMA.
