2024 USMMA Appointment DIY Thread

2023Mom, will he reapply for next year? I'm so sorry. He did do the right thing but I know it stinks.

yes. He applied for class of 2023 and was given a prep spot in May of 2019. Did his year at NMMI and was in this year! And 2 weeks before Indoc, hewas in an accident and injured in ankle. He has started his application and will have to start with dodmerb all new.... 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sorry to hear about the inability to attend/be set back, but, for future readers who may have questions, 2023mom's son's ordeal is a prime example of Plan B.

Would like to hear if he goes back to NMMI, or another prep school for the year to increase/keep his chances for admin. (if a second year is even feasible)

I would have probably sent him back to NMMI if 1: he was recovered completely and didn’t need the PT and 2: the coronavirus.
When he came home in the spring, he didn’t know he would be staying home. We didn’t have a good experience. We both think they will end up sending cadets home again.
He also left NMMI with 36 credits. There just that many more classes there for him to take. They also don’t have lacrosse, so another full year of no lacrosse.

so he will be attending community college, getting job and starting a more intense physical training and lacrosse training.

Admission officer and coach seem to more than happy with the plan. Plan B is important, but I am happy that his goal is still USMMA. The community college is a great school, and with COvid, I wouldn’t be too optimistic about sending him anywhere
