DD just got letter today for interviews for both USMA and USNA in 3rd District GA. She is pumped! Panels are via zoom ...15 minutes each. Any tips /advice are appreciated!
The same for FL. They are only 15 min. I have 2 virtual with the Senator panels; 1 in person with my Representative panel.

NJ-11, how about you? Yes I am scheduled for the 15th at 1:00 PM for senatorial noms. house nominations haven't scheduled me yet but I know they are going to be sometime on 11/21.

How different! I’m in FL and all 3 of my interviews are 15 min each. They go by fast and I get the feeling the paper applications are weighing more than they usually do. I have 2 that are virtual; 1 in person.
Yes! I feel like our interviews are so much more important than the paper application...

I'm from NJ-04; Smith usually has his nominations in mid-December, my guess is the 12th or the 19th, but likewise no schedule yet.

Me too! Who’s your representative?

I’m in district 18, my congressman also has a PT test, is this common in FL?
I’m pretty sure each MOC can design their nomination packages as they see fit. I had to submit a valid CFA with mine. I’m guessing they can request more things if the district is competitive to help them review the candidates. You have interviews also with Rubio and Scott?

I had my Rubio interview at the end of October but sadly was rejected by Scott.

Has anyone heard from their Washington State Congress member regarding noms yet?? Also, how can you find out how many spots a Congress member has available at each academy?

Has anyone heard anything regarding interviews from the Massachusetts Senators? I know Senator Warren has said she will be doing interviews later in December after they review the applications throughout November, but I have not heard anything from Senator Markey.

DS got notified today interview with congressional staff (WA state, 2nd dist.) will be 1st week in Dec. Neither senator will be conducting interviews! Application review only.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but do the CA senators hold interviews for candidates before they determine nominations, or do they nominate based off of paperwork?

I can't seem to find that information on their websites, and seem to recall hearing that they do not give interviews because it is such a big state.

Thank you!

While my recollection is that your surmise is true, it is NOT true that interviews would not be held because it's a big state. The field could be winnowed to a manageable number, allowing interview of, say, 30-40 or more applicants, perhaps doing them online. There are states that do exactly that.. What the Senators did last year isn't necessarily what they'll do this year. If you want the absolute correct answer then call their offices... or accept the word of some anonymous internet contributer. Personally I'd make the (simple and easy) phone call.
