Notwithstanding the 1/31 deadline, the SAs are known to take slates that trickle in a little later. But, your nominations will ordinarily be submitted by 1/31.

My DS has yet to hear anything from Burr. He did email Burr's nomination contact (the one he sent the application into) a few weeks back. Finally, week before last he received a return email stating we would be getting an email update the following week (which was now last week). Crickets....we never did get an update. When It didn't come last week, I didn't expect one this week with all that is going on. Hopefully, next week? Luckily he does have a nomination from his MOC.

If there's a hard deadline of 1/31 for nominations, is Senator Burr's office going to have time to conduct any interviews?

Such an exciting day for her 🎉🎈! Congratulations 🍾! I know for certain that even if DS doesn’t get a USNA appointment, the day he learned of his nom is one I won’t soon forget 😉....

I also received one from Representative Kilmer, still waiting to hear back from Senators. Emailed both Cantwell and Murray’s office this morning for an update we will see what happens. I’ve heard it usually comes from the Senators at least in Washington around a week after the Congressional, this year may be different however. The only certainty is they have to let the academy know by the 31st.
 
No appointments from New Jersey yet? Some MOC nominations have been given but senators haven't announced yet. I guess no NJ appointments will be announced until the senator slates are in?
 
Another Michigan update: I check my USAFA portal this morning and found another nomination from Gary Peters. I haven't received an email yet but I do think it's rather odd that I received nominations from both senators considering the fact that in the past, most Michigan senators & reps don't allow people to double up. Perhaps there was less applicants this year but I am happy nonetheless!
