Does anyone have experience applying for a nomination with Sen. Feinstein? There is mixed information. Some places it says to email all information and others it asks for USPS mail. We just want to be sure to get it right.
Dinky - DS applied for and received a nomination from Senator Feinstein. In last year's cycle, he mailed a package as per the directions. That may have shifted for this year's cycle. If there are any specific questions please let me know and I will get you his thoughts

Anyone have any information on how many interviews Senator's Scott and Rubio conduct each year. I Know Senator Scott's interviews will all be done in Tampa on Oct 16th 8AM - 6PM in 15 minute slots. So, if it's only one panel that is 4 per hour with a 1 hour lunch break would equate to 36 interviews. That seems low so I would assume it's probably 2 or more panels interviewing. Anyone have any insight on this?

In PA, our Senators have seperate panels for each SA requiring a nom. So it could be Scott & Rubio each have 4 panels going which is why you can usually only choose one SA on the nomination application.

Interesting. In Florida they put a primary SA but can also list other SAs they would like to be considered for.

No idea, I'm sure you could try and do the math, but I just don't think it's possible. Unlike Senator Scott, he didn't give times that the interviews would start/close and you also don't know how many Interview locations he has. I'm sure you could do a guesstimate though.

Anyone else completing a nomination application for CA Senator Padilla's office? I've submitted everything, but two of the items have to be verified by his office before showing as "received." I thought I'd call his office to confirm receipt (recommendation letters and ACT scores) but his website lists 6 different offices. Guess I'll start north and work my way south.

My DD is going to be sending in an application to Padilla’s office after she gets her new SAT scores Friday. I’m going to assume the application deadline is November 1st and the verification process can take place after? Hope so!

I'm curious if you were able to reach anyone at Padilla's office to confirm receipt?

I haven't started the phone calls yet. :) Everything is "checked" on my application except that their office hasn't confirmed the questionnaire or receipt of the letters of rec. A previous commenter is likely correct in that once the application window closes I'll find out if everything was received by whether or not I get an interview. Was hoping for some confirmation earlier than that in case I need to do any more work.

It's hare to make calls during the day since I'm in class all day.
