Don’t sweat Kaine, VA is big on coordinating to maximize the number of noms for the state. Our DS got the same letter but already got a nom.

Good luck

Have any of you received a nomination notification for USNA from SC Tim Scott, Nancy Mace or Lindsey Graham?
My DS just called all 3 offices to check. Graham is still working on scheduling interviews, Mace will be coming out either this week or next, Scott is sending out today.

No sir, his only service academy choice he put on his application was to the USAFA.
@BBMomma -- My DS too, selected only USAFA on his application and we're in Colorado. Got a principal nom from MOC on DEC 21in competitive district, but haven't heard back from USAFA yet (only a notation in portal that MOC nomination was received without designating it as principal). He is 3Q, so hopefully we hear back soon. Congrats to your DS and his successes thus far. Ours is going for mechanical engineering.

An impressive accomplishment as a student in CO. USAFA is tough for nominations in our state, but I suspect it has gotten so competitive that students don't get multiple Senator nominations, and the same is likely true of competitive congressperson districts. Best of luck to your son on getting an appointment. And congrats on Purdue...that was our son's first decision released and he got similarly great news. Pfew!
@Ragnar2026 I agree with you, CO is very competitive as we live here too, and my DS only applied for USAFA alone, no other SA. We don't get multiple senator nominations in this state, as they work together and interview the candidates together. My DS did get the MOC nomination and principal designation, which the MOC didn't advertise that he does his slate that way, so that surprised us (and pleasantly so, when announced to us on DEC 21st via a MOC email message). No word from Bennet/Hickenlooper. However, still waiting for response from USAFA on if he will be accepted (he's 3Q). Best of luck to your DS and congrats on his accomplishments to date!

Oh, and our DS-- just for the record and for others who might be interested when comparing candidate backgrounds and noms-- is as follows: Not a recruited athlete, no LOA, no military connection, but will be an engineering-major, has top academics/tests scores/leadership/wide diversity of extra-curriculars/awards, honors. He did NOT do any sanctioned or community sports in high school or middles school, but suddenly joined cross-country his senior year in Fall 2021, right when his USAFA kit was submitted (better late than never???). However, despite a "weak area" in the athletics domain, he was able to work very VERY hard at preparing for his CFA for 6 months so that he maxed out in 2 of the events, exceeded the "cadet averages" in another 3 events, and then met the average threshold for the 6th event. Again, no guarantees at this point, but we have our fingers crossed. Plan B is AF ROTC HSSP at engineering school (GA Tech or Cornell, or in state at CU Boulder). Best to you and yours in the year to come! :)

Woohoo congrats to your son!! My boy is going for aerospace engineering - more specifically astronautical engineering. Getting the nomination from our Senator was my boys last piece he needed, now crossing fingers hoping for an appointment for him and for your boy!

Check spam folders for Hickenlooper and Bennet. They emailed on 1/7.

which academy waived it, and which one are you waiting on?
He did not need a waiver, just AMI because of his sports, abnormal BMI due to his sports. He went to the doctors to submit info of no eating disorders etc. USNA LOA, waiting on the others and ROTC ones I believe.
