If my district (NJ-09) gave me a nomination but didn’t send any correspondence or release information is it ok to call and ask whether they give principal or rank nominees and where I am?

Debating doing that since I’m not sure where I’m at
I’m also curious about this.

DD received a call yesterday that she received the nomination from our district congresswoman in California. Her interview was in early December so a relief to hear the nom came through. She has a LOA and has completed all the other requirements so I hope she receives an appointment soon.
Congratulations! What district are you guys?

I was nominated by David Trone, and I just received a letter from Senator Van Hollen saying that he was going to give me a nomination, but since I already had one from Trone Van Hollen will not be giving me one. Is this just a way of being nice instead of straight up rejecting me, or do some states work like this?

Many states “spread the wealth.”

This is common. Your best chance is if you are competitive on your MOC slate - so it wouldn’t hurt your chances. You just need one.

And if you aren’t competitive on your MOC slate, you likely aren’t on Senator slate anyway.

Good luck!

MN-03 anyone? Haven't heard a word from the senators or my house rep so starting to get worried. Nothing in portal either

Nothing from NJ-04 either. I guess all of our offices are waiting till the end. Just keep waiting!

Have not heard anything yet as well. They do have until the 31st to submit and this is typical for this district to submit later than others.

Padilla came out and I got an nomination even though I quit the application ;-; I didn't go on with it since I thought I wouldn't have gotten any others. Oh well a nom wasted, but a lesson learned to never quit

Aren’t there a few scant days left to complete the app?

The only thing I have to do is the CFA, which I don't know if I could schedule in time of Monday. I will ask for an extension maybe but doubtful I will get one, let alone pass it as I haven't been training for it. It's a lesson learned for me. Weirdly enough, my teacher talked about failure today and how to not be scared with them as it is a learning experience, and this is for sure one of them

Well to be honest I can’t disagree with your teacher. We all learn more from the speed bumps then the carpool lane.
I don’t know or recall your story or path, but it goes without saying that if you want this, every action and plan has to move your forward on the path to your objective. And that includes having time padded in for unknowns.

If you didn’t complete your app, maybe it means you were not sure. Maybe you weren’t all in as you mentioned you hadn’t been training for the CFA.

If this lesson is one that speaks to you, set up a better game plan for the next cycle. Sometimes setbacks reaffirm our desire and make us hungrier.

I applied for interview months ago to both state senators Wa State along with the VP and MOC. I never heard back from VP or state senators. Did my interview with MOC and I thought it went great. Two months later I get an email from State Senator saying I was rejected. Does this mean I am done? Or can I still get one from MOC. I haven't received anything from MOC I also got LOA to USNA and USMA. I'm confused.
