Haven’t heard from Senators yet. DS has Zoom interview tomorrow with congresswoman. I believe she was up for re-election (won but district lines changed) so her deadline was a little earlier than the rest (Oct 13).Wondering if anyone from New York has heard from either of our Senators yet.
Or your congressperson.
Last year my son had all 3 interviews in the first 10 days of December. Wondering if the same will be true this year.
Congrats!Another PA. Son has done Senator Toomey zoom interview and has Senator Casey interview today in person.
He had an in person panel interview for MOC on Nov 13 (PA-15). They called on Nov 15 to tell him he got the Principal nomination for USAFA.
I just got an email this morning saying I was selected for an interview with Schumer’s office.Wondering if anyone from New York has heard from either of our Senators yet.

I applied to both WA Senators and my MOC but I haven't heard back from any of them.Has anyone heard back regarding interviews for congressional noms in Washington State?
Their application deadline was today - November 18th. Both of my USAFA cadets class of 24 and 25 did not have interviews (Washington senators did not do interviews the past couple of years). My 25 cadet was was notified in January 2021 that he was awarded Cantwell's principal nomination. My 24 cadet did not receive a nomination from either senator, but received a principal nomination from our Congresswoman.Did anyone hear anything back from senator Cantwell and Murray? (WA)
I also had an interview for Senator Toomey on 10/27. I'm a little bit confused about how the panel decides who to nominate. How many different interviewers are there? For example, in the email I received saying I was selected for an interview, maybe only about 13 other applicants were also sent the same email. Is this because my group was assigned to one specific interviewer?PA here.
My son interviewed via Zoom for Senator Toomey 10/24. (That application was due 9/2.)
He travels to Fort Indiantown Gap tomorrow to interview for Senator Casey. (Application was due 10/5.)
He was told his interview with Congresswoman Scanlon (PA-5) would be early December. (Application was due 11/1.)
There is no way to know, unless their selection method is published on their website or you ask a staffer and they decide to tell you. Each Senator and Representative can run their selection process as they like, from what they request on application, if they interview 100%, a selected percentage or no interviews at all, how many on the interview panel, what questions are asked, how long the interview is, what criteria are used to evaluate, what method is used to submit the slate in one of the accepted ways - or they can choose to not participate at all in nominating anyone for an SA.I also had an interview for Senator Toomey on 10/27. Very similar experience for DD with USNA. "Source: Florida Senator 2 2022-11-17"" popped up in her Nomination section of USNA portal. She found out that is Senator Marco Rubio. No further email, call, or snail mail has been received. Congratulations to both tremendous nominees!DS logged into USAFA portal yesterday to check if his AOL interview had been updated and was surprised to see he had received a nomination! It indicates FLORIDA Senator 82. We just are wondering if that is Scott or Rubio? DS actually had his interview with Congresswoman’s panel yesterday morning and we were thinking that this is where his nomination would most likely come from. Both Scott and Rubio communicated that nominations wouldn’t be announced until later, Dec/Jan. DS has not gotten a call, email or letter yet acknowledging nomination. Very excited for DS, he had received a LOI a few weeks ago.
Yes, they completed their interviews on 11/5/22.Did anyone here apply for a nomination from Senator Burr of North Carolina? My DS had not heard any updates since June, when he submitted his application.
I assume he was not selected for an interview. Should he receive updates through email that was not invited for the interview?Yes, they completed their interviews on 11/5/22.
Every elected official can manage their process as they wish. If your son wants to know, he can ask the staffers to confirm his situation.I assume he was not selected for an interview. Should he receive updates through email that was not invited for the interview?
