Got an automated response today from Padilla’s office today saying their process is now closed and good luck. DD has LOAs to all three but seems like Nom may be iffy at this point.

Hang in there .. this waiting business is really tough and I hear you on feeling wobbly waiting for the nomination news. Your congressperson has until end of January to turn in their slates. And .. not to stoke false hope, but seems like last year some noms from Cali senators showed up in portals without interviews. With LOAs to all three, your DD must clearly be a strong candidate. As they say ... tend plans B, C, D ... etc.

For posterity, IL Senator Duckworth issued letters for nominations on December 10th this year. Senator Durbin issued letters on December 12th this year after collaborating between the two senate offices to ensure no duplicate nominations.

IL-14 Representative Underwood conducted interviews on December 17th.

Last Wednesday I posted to ask if anyone had heard from CO-06 (Jason Crow). Just saw his nom in my son's USNA portal!! Haven't heard from his office yet, but we're celebrating!!

You just never know! Those are some of the noms the SA has control over. Continue to work alternate plans, as everyone should. But it’s not a NO, until it is. Hang in there!

We submitted the nomination packet to both senators in CA-Feinstein and Padilla. We've left several VM and sent emails all with no success. We have not received any communications outside of the initial automatic reply stating they received the application. Does anyone know the direct contact who is in charge or handles nominations for both of these senators so that we may have a live person to speak to? Thank you.
