I hate this day. Ronny Bates and George McVicker were friends and great corpsmen. HM1Bates was married to a navy nurse. She was pregnant. RIP to you and the rest of those from BLT 1/8 who died that day.
 
Closer to New River than Main Gate but it is a Beautiful Memorial. I have seen it several times and it always reminds me that some sacrifices can be lost to history. Never Forget.

Yes, outside the Camp Johnson gate. The Bradford pear trees in the median of Lejeune Blvd were planted in the memory of the Beirut victims and are also a nice tribute.
