2nd envelope

Urgh. Still waiting for mine. Apparently my Representative's office called today to notify me AGAIN that I got the appointment. They got an email saying something about how they were going to start mailing stuff after the 25th. They were a bit confused on it.

Dad...not yet...daughter sent in her acceptance on 3/29....she got an email regarding clothing sizes, we got info on parent's club....still waiting on 2nd BFE

It's very in-depth, including: security clearance form, immunization record, clothing measurements, emergency card info, AOG member form, sponsor family program form, list of supplies, etc.
They also provide a booklet that provides info ranging from fitness exercises to dealing with scholarships to surviving BCT.

Some of the forms you mail back with the earliest form having a deadline of May 6, and others you'll bring with you for in-processing.

wait, WHAT?

but don't you have until may 1st to respond? how can you get that out that quickly?

Has anyone received the 2nd BFE recently?

No!! I feel like the Mail Stalkers Club again. Mailed appointment acceptance 4/1. I figured they were busy with the last batch of BFE's #1 and QNV letters, but would love to have some more information soon.

My admissions counselor said to expect it the first/second week of May

What does the BFE contain? My son accepted his appointment to USAFA the first week in April and has not received the 2nd BFE yet.

A lot and some of it I probably would not be able to remember but I'd suggest going to your family Dr and making sure your vaccinations are up to date and also go to your dentist and double check your wisdom teeth are not impacted and should come out. They want them removed at least 6 weeks prior to arriving for BCT and they highly recommend you do this before you get to the academy.

specifics imms they want your Dr's office to fill in are:
diptheria, pertussis, tetanus; polio; measles, mumps, rebella; Hep-B; Twinrix; meningococcal; tuberculosos; varicella (chicken pox); HPV; the form says cadets must get required imms prior to arrival and waivers WILL NOT be accepted, according to the bold print on their form.

there's no immunization clinic number on the form but the email address is 10mdg.sgoma@usafa.af.mil if you want more info from them directly. naturally there's a form in the 2nd bfe you have to cut out and get your Drs office to fill in with proof/results of all the shots on their form. There is still plenty of time to do this if you've already had the vaccinations that take a series to complete. If not, you might want contact them just no get the form and get a head start or get the OK from them that whatever you can't complete will not be an issue and they will complete them for you.

When you go to the docs get the t-b test. I'm currently gettingy form filled out as we write!

Let's see, my son got his first BFE about March 29, mailed his acceptance in on March 31 and it arrived in COS on April 4. His second BFE came April 9, so they were quick to mail it out.

Luckymacy is correct about the e-mail address to use for immunization questions--DON'T use the one they suggest for questions (it included Allergy_Immunization in address) as in another thread a few cadets mentioned those e-mails bouncing back because of some sort of problem. Another vaccination that will be required is Hepatitis A (Twinrix is A and B combined--its OK if you had each separately). For polio, even though you think your appointee may have completed the series when younger, the AFA requires another dose within 6 mo. of reporting so plan on getting it now too.

DD's second BFE came yesterday...was thinking plane tickets would be in it, I guess that comes later...

What if you already have a security clearance?
