DD just had her 3Q letter posted on her portal! Now needing that pesky Appointment!

She is just finishing up her overnight and LOVES West Point even more. Got to meet the Supe also.
 
Glad to hear your visit is going well! We're going to be making the trip in a couple weeks and any tips or information you could give are much appreciated! Also, is the Thayer worth the stay? Hopefully the weather cooperates for our trip, I heard there's another storm system moving through back there.
 
overnight

The Thayer is very convenient and was worth it to me ($125 /night). Dress warm and figure out some things to do while your kid is away. Bowling alley is on Post near Thayer or attend a sports game on Post. We didn't get any real snow yesterday.
 
Thank you! About how long is the initial morning orientation/briefing and parental tour? And is parking a problem?

Did you get any one on one time with your DD's RC? I'm sure they're super busy right now, so curious who does the briefing with you and if they take a few minutes for each individual?

Trip

Parking is always an issue. Part on Thayer extension between the Hotel and Admissions. Briefings? An hour or so with an admissions person, 45 minutes with a Cadet. Candidates go with their escorts @9:30. Then parent club brief and 45 minute tour. Yes, you can get one on one with RC.
