what are the chances of being deemed fully qualified and not receiving a nomination? i just received a letter from Congressman Garrett (NJ-05) stating that i have not been nominated to USMA i have not heard anything from the NJ senators yet (Menedez and Lautenberg)... but im assuming that i havent received a senator nomination since i couldnt even get a congressional one... w/out a nomination... my apllication process for the class of '14 is pretty much over. however... i plan on doing ROTC at Rutgers University and re-applying to USMA next year. I was just wondering what my chances on being appointed to west point next year will be. I will post my stats just in case... Class Rank: 19/145 GPA: 4.05 (taking APs and honors) SAT I: M-750; CR-620; W-730 ... 2100/1370 2 Varsity Sports: 2yrs of varsity basketball; 3yrs of varsity track Involved in Church Youth Group: praise team leader; several mission trips DECA club: 4 yrs (3x state qualifier) Harvester's Club (Christian club): praise team's bassist National Honor Society Peer Leader What do you guys think held me back from receiving a nomination? and what do you guys recommend me to do from now 'till next year to prepare for the application process again? I apoligize for such a long post... but this is just one way to help vent out all the stress im having right now... lol. Thank you guys in advance for your comments and advice.
