caveat - a candidate with a Principal Nomination will (for USMA) or will usually (for USNA) get the appointment AS LONG AS the candidate is otherwise qualified (board, medical, physical).
if a candidate with a Principal Nom ends up at Prep, then that candidate was found Not Qualified by the board (or was maybe a Football of Lax recruit - but that is a whole 'nother thing)
