Hello everyone. I was notified by the ROO at the college I will be attending that I was not awarded a scholarship on the 2nd board. I am working on my backup option if I am not awarded a 3 year national from the 3rd board. I understand it is impossible to tell someone if they will get a scholarship or not based off their stats when posted here. However, I am just curious to see what others think. Below are my stats.
Weighted GPA: 3.73
Unweighted GPA: 3.56
ACT: 23 composite
SAT: 1110 (out of 1600)
Taking 2 APs this year
National Honor Society member (11, 12)
National Honor Society Secretary Officer (11, 12)
Beta Club Member (11, 12)
Beta Club Secretary Officer (12)
Student Council Member (11, 12)
Yearbook Team Member and Editor (10)
CrossFit athlete and competitor for 3+ years (lots of involvement here, have won several competitions over the years, dedicated to my sport and at my cf gym for 2-3 hours a day)
Peer Tutor/community service with NHS (11, 12)
100+ hours of volunteer work at local library, humane society, and church
Work 12-20 hours a week (experience at Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Panera Bread, babysitting/childcare, work with the GA Department of Revenue)
PFT (1/1/1) Score: 30 Pushups / 38 Sit-ups / 7:39 mile
Strong letters of recommendation from my coach/mentor who is a retired US Army LTC, from an alumnus from the college I'll be attending (a SMC), from my homeroom teacher, and from my school counselor.
Once again, I understand it is impossible to truly "chance someone". I am just wondering what others think of my stats, and I am wondering if a scholarship from the 3rd board is realistic for me. Thank you in advance.
