4 USAFA seniors may not graduate because of COVID shot mandate

Last I heard/read....1 got the shot, and three stood firm and declined.

I believe those three were allowed to graduate, but were NOT commissioned.
You are correct. The three are in a "limbo" status. Yesterday there were different stories in Colo Springs: they have until August to take the shot...it's at the SECAF office already for a determination of restitution of all educational costs/fees, and so on...

Time will tell.

In light of the case of Navy Lt. William Mosely where a Navy board voted that he did not have to take an unapproved vaccine, does this mean that the incoming cadets are required to take the available EAU COVID vaccines.? We have searched everywhere for the Comirnaty and it is not available in the US. (I'm guessing this is because one could sue the manufacturers if there are adverse effects from an approved vaccine. Can't sue for AE of an EAU vaccine. ) Does anyone know about this? Is it still required at USNA? I'm no doctor but considering the FDA tried to hide the Pfizer COVID vax studies for 75 years...something is very fishy. Also, the studies that have been released do not look good. Would appreciate any help. Thank you!

I will not comment on the majority of your post for a number of reasons but will comment on your actual question that was in the first two lines.
The board in this case was just for THIS case in THAT particular command and does not in any way set policy or precedent for the rest of the Navy or other services.
By way of a personal example, Once Upon a Time I was a member of a three person Admin Discharge Board that was convened to review the case of a sailor who had "Popped Positive" or in other words, tested positive for Cannabis Use on the Drug Urinalysis Screen. His defense was a claim of "Secondhand Inhalation" at a party that his wife brought him to. The Navy's position at the time was that there was no way that secondhand inhalation could cause a positive result on the test but the accused's lawyer had several credible medical studies that indicated otherwise. Our board voted 2 to 1 to retain the sailor which was sent on up the line. While our board had found for the member in this case, it did not set precedent or policy for any other sailors at our command much less the Navy at Large

Postscript: As the findings of our board moved up the chain of command it was joined by a SECOND positive test from the sailor on the morning of our board (!). Needless to say, he departed from the Navy rather abruptly at that point.

The Vaccine is still required in the US Military and at USNA in particular. While "Comirarty" and the original vaccine may have different markings on the vials and are thus legally distinct, they are EXACTLY THE SAME formulation of EXACTLY THE SAME ingredients. To believe otherwise would also say that "Comirnaty" had absolutely no trials or testing since all of the trials/tests were with the original vaccine.

When I called Pfizer, they told me that Comirnaty was not available in the US. They never mentioned the above information. Needless to say, it's confusing, but thanks for your response and for your service.
