Greetings Y'all!
I am excited to say I have received a 4 year ARTOC scholarship to Auburn, the school of my dreams. I can honestly say I couldn't have done it without reading other winners' resumes over the past couple years for guidance, so now I would like to help others out who are looking to begin the process. This is my resume in its entirety...if there is any questions at all regarding anything just message me or reply to this thread. I'd love to help out and give back.
In summary, you DON'T have to have a perfect GPA in all AP classes, score a 36 on the ACT, or be valedictorian to earn a 4 Year scholarship.
Being able to communicate well in an interview is very important as well, and I feel as if my interview was one of my strongest points during the application process.
ACADEMICS:
GPA: 3.97/4.0 -took about half AP classes/half regular
ACT: 26 (I studied a lot and never got a great score...if you're in the same boat don't worry!)
Class Rank: Top 10%
All-State Academic Team
All-District Academic Team
EXTRA CURRICULAR:
-USNA Summer Leadership Course in Annapolis
-Boys State Selectee
-Elected Class Officer
-Young Republican Club Founder/President
-Military Order of World Wars summer leadership camp
-Multicultural Club Vice President
-Football Team Captain
-Key Club member
-National Honor Society Member
ATHLETICS:
-3 Year Varsity Football Starter
-2 Year Track Letter
SERVICE:
-Upward Referee
-Elementary Student Mentor program
Employment:
-Grocery store for 1.5 years
Like I said, just contact me if you have any questions. About 2 years ago I had almost nothing to put on a resume until I started focusing towards the end of my sophomore year. Best of luck to everyone in their future endeavors.
