500 USMA Appointments Mailed Out Today

This is very exciting news. My DS4 is patiently waiting for his nomination from MN. I don't believe he will make this first wave. I look forward to hearing good news for those that do, and stalking the admissions FB page too.

My son is currently attending Marion Military Institute with a West Point AOG Scholarship. Any idea of when offers are made for AOG?
 
If you check the appointment thread, you will see that the Congressmen have started calling. I'd expect a few more such posts tomorrow.

He did receive a call in December from Congressman just telling him he received his nomination. Will there be another phone call?

Some Congressmen call to notify of appointments, so may not. You might receive another one if you get an appointment.
 
My DS's FFO called him. She said that it is her understanding that no West Point offers of appointment for candidates with Presidential Nominations were included in this round of 500. FYI.

I beleive this is true. I just got a call from my summer seminar roomate saying he got his appointment and his MOC didn't do principal nominees. I on the other hand will have to wait until friday to see if I was appointed because my MOC isn't in office anymore.

My 2018 was at MMI on an AOG. About half received theirs third week in Jan and the rest (including him) received theirs first week of Feb. Congrats! Btw... MMI could not have prepared those cadets better for their plebe year!

I've raised this question before, but given the fact that many principal nominees are now receiving appointments, I thought I'd ask again. I am a principal nominee, academically and physically qualified, but awaiting a waiver. After this round of appointments, will the board move on to other nominees on the list if the principal is not qualified at this point?

I believe your slot will be held open until a decision is made on the waiver.

So LOA recipients just need any nom, it doesn't matter what kind of nom? I have an LOA with the SDVET nom, and have a congressional nom but it hasn't been updated into my portal yet. Will admissions use the SDVET nom or wait for the congressional nom to come through?
 
DD was informed of her nom on Christmas Eve and still not on portal! I guess the waiting continues.... best to everyone waiting!!!

@raft11, My DS got informed of his nom on Dec 14, 2016 and the portal updated on Jan 5, 2017. Your DD nom would show up for sure.....soon ....now....about time....
