7th Semester Transcript

I apologize for this dumb question but, what exactly is a 7th semester transcript? I received a letter telling me to send my 7th semester transcript a bit ago but they have my 8 high school semesters and my 2 college semesters.

I checked my email seconds after posting last night- I did receive it. My councilor faxed it today. Man, was that a frightening email.

Vamp, I'm glad you discovered it in time. I can imagine how you felt. I felt like I was punched in the gut and I'm just a parent, so I can only imagine what it felt like as the appointee. My son's reaction was a first anger, followed by panic, and then resolution to get it taken care of.

Kinda' funny, but this thread has been picked up on the USAFA and USNA discussions -- "I saw this on USMA, do we have the same thing to worry about?"

Hope no one was caught unaware by this, especially since I am still not convinced that the requirement was well communicated.

Oh well, looks like we'll all have something ELSE to talk about at the dinner before R Day. :thumb: Thanks for arranging that BTW.

It wasnt well communicated in my opinion, I was blindsided by it when I checked my email, but I faxed it twice to West Point that night. I was slightly scared that my appointment could be revoked in two days after all of this work

Its in bright red on the front of the candidate portal now this year, I think it took a lot of people by surprise

The only reference I've seen to it is a relatively passing reference on page 7 of the Applicant's instructions. I think it is relatively common that most people would think that these instructions would be supplanted by the Appointee's instructions. Tricky! However, even in the mention in the Applicant's literature it just says turn in as soon as possible, not NLT February 28th.

Consider it a lesson learned and obstacle breached. It is teaching you to be vigilant, have attention-to-detail, and look out for each other.

Hopefully, no one got tripped up by this one and everyone will be more aware for the next challenge. Trust me, they will be forthcoming.

That bright red banner would have saved a lot of heart palpatations if it had been up a few weeks ago.

yeah, but at the same time I think we all should remember admissions is super busy, so I am gonna give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. They did move the deadline to the 15th

You bet! They're swamped and stressed; all while doing a job which makes you either one of the most loved or reviled people in the world depending on the message you have to convey.

I think they have handled it very well considering everything else they've got on their plates, chasing down transcripts from the folks they'd already appointed was the last thing they wanted, I'm sure.
