A Day

We purchased for DS a BW laser printer with an extra toner cartridge. He really likes it. We brought the printer along with a 23 inch monitor with built in speakers to him on PW.

Parking for A-day?

I have one more question..
Where do I have to park on A-day?
I think it is Stillman field. So, next to Cadet Chapel will be OK?
Thanks in advance,
Delta.

PS: I've been there only twice(I-day and Swearing Ceremony),
so I'm still not familiar with the location...

And if you are anything like I was it all seems like a daze! So many emotions and I'm supposed to remember where I parked the car?!

Parking by the Chapel would not be a good idea as your Basic is not allowed to go anywhere alone. They would not be able to escort you through the cadet area to get to the parade field. In fact, they most likely won't have their phones back in order to coordinate with you.

After you enter the North gate, follow the signs to the Field House. You will then be directed where to park. You can only use the South gate if your cadet is with you or you have a military ID. When I went in 2011, I parked in the Field House parking lot and took the shuttle to Stillman field. There were others who walked directly to Stillman Field. After collecting my newly minted C4C, we returned to car and got the cooler from the car with Subway subs and drinks and found a shady spot under the trees by the Field House to enjoy lunch with many others.

Check the USAFA website (http://www.usafa.edu/Commandant/BCT/FAQ/?catname=BCT FAQ) for updates and instructions. Enjoy that special time and grab some cadets whose families were not able to make it. :thumb:
