Somewhat different from the path former Army West Point quarterback Steelman took,
Villanueva played for Army West Point 2006 -2009, a defensive end, offensive tackle and receiver. Now, he is a backup OT for the Steelers. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like he completed his five year committment than pursued a NFL career.
I hate the Steelers, but I will cheer for Villanueva.
"While at Fort Drum, Villanueva served with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, and deployed to Afghanistan with the unit. During the deployment, he earned a Bronze Star with Valor after helping fellow soldiers pinned under enemy fire.
He also served with the 1st Ranger Battalion at Hunter Army Airfield, Ga."
