And just a general educational note, those who are awarded the Medal of Honor are generally called “recipients,” or “awardees,” not “winners.” The Medal is not “won.”

"Mister Bill" was a legend at USAFA.

And about the most unassuming gent you'd meet.

Pretty much like every MOH recipient I've met/known.

The class of '84 got to do what we couldn't do in'83 to honor him.

It was legendary.

I was asked...so I'll show....I normally don't post links but in this case...

In 1984 when President Regan confirmed he would be able to speak at the USAFA graduation, the class of 1984 asked for a special honor.

This is the result.
