    Pretty good article. Certainly informative. I would also say balanced if only because they (un)wittingly(?) argue against some of the assertions they make.

    Informative as a historical background and history lesson, in my opinion.

    I can speak for my state - having served on a Senatorial and two different Congressman's nomination boards, and current serving a Congressional nomination board for several years and being able to see qualification of appointed cadets statewide, if you are not qualified, you are not getting an appointment.
