Today, Veterans' Day, I am feeling like the very humble and very protected and very grateful middle part of a sandwich - with both my parents having served during WWII on one side and several of my children either serving now or in training for their future service on my other side. I exist here in the middle, humbled, grateful, and deeply inspired by all of them! So I say THANK YOU to my very own veterans and future veterans - my mother (93 years old this month -Army WAC), my Dad (Army - passed away October 2010) - they met in '43 and married in '45 while serving, and my DD (Captain USMC), my son-in-law (Navy LT), and two of my DS's (one a PLC Senior at OSU and the other USNA plebe). I say THANK YOU to them and to ALL veterans everywhere! Without "my" veterans, I, for one, wouldn't even be here! And without ALL veterans, all the rest of us wouldn't be living, embracing, enjoying the amazing life possible in this greatest country on earth!
