I have a question/request for general advice with the academic portion of my soon to be application. I’m going to be class of 2025, and I am currently undertaking the IB diploma at my school. My first question is, is the IB diploma significant in increasing how competitive I am for USNA? Also, along with the IB diploma and solely looking at an academic perspective, are these classes/scores competitive for USNA?
IB Spanish: B
IB History:B
IB Math:A
IB Bio:A
IB English:A
ACT: English, 33. Math, 29. Reading, 34. Science, 33.
Keep in mind these are all 2 year courses (except bio which will be replaced by physics). So again, are these courses/scores competitive for USNA in an academic standpoint? And any general advice/criticism would be great as I’ve always been wanting to go to this academy for a long time, thanks to all who reply.

My DS did IB Diploma and is now a plebe. USNA apparently gives strong weight to IB classes as they are challenging. However, very few IB classes lead to validation of classes, whereas many AP classes with 4 or 5 do. The IB program (especially the extended essay) have been great preparation for USNA classes, but it always depends on the student and the IB teachers (as with AP and other classes). I would like to share more about IB’s prep for my DS, based on feedback he has received so if you are interested please PM me.
Those grades appear excellent. Make sure you take HL math.
