Academic seperation and recoupment if medically DQed?

Hi all, I asked this question over at the general USMA forum and someone referred me to this forum. I am a USMA cadet who is being separated for academic failures. Since I have affirmed, I owe the Army either three years of service as an enlisted soldier or financial reparations. I have been told by academy officials that, in cases of academic separation like mine, former cadets are allowed to repay their education costs via service (this option is typically not afforded to cadets separated for serious misconduct). I remain committed to serving my country and am eager to enlist, however, I am concerned that I may be rejected for military service at MEPS due to a condition that I contracted after becoming a cadet. Does anyone know of any cases like this? If this were to occur, would there be any options available to me to spare me the burden of financial recoupment? Thank you for your help.
