Academic Skills Defect, Now What?

Today I got disqualified from AFROTC because of "Academic Skills Defect" and "Substandard Near Point of Convergence". What do I do now? Is there a waiver I can apply for or something? My cadre said that it can't be waive.

I do have a learning disability with reading and spelling words. I guess I'm dyslexia but who cares if I can get the god damm work done on time. Right? That's what really matters.
 
Traditionally DoDMERB DQ's you and the branch is the one that initiates the waiver process, you don't.

First off, watch your language on here. This is a family site.

Secondly, what "really matters" is whatever the branch says "really matters." the AF doesn't need to make exceptions to meet personnel requirements.

It may be that you are not destined to be commissioned. If they want you, the branch/command will request a waiver.
