Academy Dean of Faculty Brig. General Born to Retire?

MN, I wonder if Pam Zubeck, reporter aka blogger is the same person that came on this site about 2 yrs ago to get posters to talk to her.

There was a female reporter from CO that tried to get people here to "talk", but the mods closed that door very quickly.

She also tried this on another forum, but unfortunately for her they were ADAF and they didn't just shut the door, they slammed it close with their foot on her behind at the same time.

That was well before my time on this forum so I am not so sure. Here are her archived stories (see http://www.csindy.com/coloradosprings/ArticleArchives?author=1433753&page=2 ). I notice that 1 out of 10 articles are about the Academy. In fact, she volleyed "Who Needs Service Academies". http://www.csindy.com/IndyBlog/archives/2012/10/10/who-needs-service-academies History has proved that she likes stirring the pot.

It was Ms. Zubeck.

I have dealt with her in my past...

And I'll leave it at that.

who needs service academies? Didn't a Naval Academy professor ask the same question?

I assume you are speaking about Bruce Fleming. I've noticed he always promotes his book when he lips-off about the Navel Academy (which is also his 25 year loyal employer). The more controversial he generates the more free website hits he receives.

See http://rajivsrinivasan.wordpress.co...tive-point-average-rebuttal-to-bruce-fleming/ It is a wonderfully written rebuttal. :thumb:

Here is my favorite part:
"It seems Mr. Fleming’s criteria for mediocrity rests heavily on academic metrics. But I assure my audience that there is very little that is academic about combat leadership. It is about heart. It is about fortitude, honor, and courage. Now, you may call a West Point or Naval Academy graduate mediocre…but try visiting any other college in America and collecting a thousand 23 year old kids ready to lead just as many lives into hostile fire. I doubt you’ll be successful. To produce a thousand officers with the grit and spirit of warriors and the intellectual curiosity of scholars, we need a venue of tremendous investment and concentration: this is why you need the service academies."

I tend to agree with that entire article. It's well worth the read.
