Hi everyone, and happy new year!
I have my Girls State interview (California) soon, and I'm not sure what to wear. I heard it's business casual, but I'm not exactly sure the specifics of that. Any tips?
Also, I'm attending an Academy forum with all the academies in Seattle, and am wondering what I should wear to that as well (I want to make a good first impression but not to overdress)

Any help/tips are greatly appreciated!

@zoe. Dress in what you would feel most comfortable looking clean and sharp. If you have a nice top and bottom pants or skirt with jacket in navy blue or black with white or off white blouse that would be best. Unless you intend to wear it again for other college interviews and to nice venues don’t buy an expensive formal just for the gathering. The gathering is not meant to be formal but an information session for mostly high school students.

When my DS went to college and Academy interviews in his junior and senior years in 2017, he had a jacket and khaki pants with dress shirt to college interviews and Eagle Scout uniform to all ROTC Interviews and to Naval Academy Interview done by a BGO at a joint U.S. Base. West Point and Air Force Academy he was interviewed by Admissions Regional Commanders at the Academies at West Point and Colorado Springs. So he was wearing his summer seminar and SLE t shirts. Coast Guard Academy interview was done by video call in his room so he had a t shirt on. Most interviewers told him he didn’t have to dress too formal. They are happy to see you come in in a clean cut attire. I recommend No jeans and no t shirts. And no slippers and caps. Nice brushed hair or tie them up neatly. I’m a more formal interviewer and like to see young men and women in suits if they have one. Everyone is different. Relax and enjoy your information session in nice clean clothes you like to wear. Joint Service Academy Information sessions are held in:
