Hi! I was recently contacted and about joining Academy Minority Outreach Team for USCGA. It said about having a 1 on 1 relationship with a mentor. Does anyone have anymore additional information or any 1st hand experience for the program? Anything would help! Thanks!

I would say do it.
You could only gain by the experience.
Not to mention it is another point of contact at the academy and possibly good review for your admissions file.

I believe it is only offered to candidates with existing offers of appointment.

Yea I got offered my appointment already but still unsure if I am going to accept or not. Even though I'm undecided, they still give me the invite to the team!
