Acceptance Day - I think I read that after the Acceptance Day Parade the Class of 2013 cadets could have a few hours with their parents and you could go back to and see their room, etc. Can someone confirm? My dad has a hard time walking long distances, and we were thinking that a couple hours on Acceptance Day might be better for him than Parents Weekend.

From what I've read, if parents are to choose Acceptance Day or Parent's Weekend, it's much better to pick Parent's Weekend.

I would say that the couple hours would be real hard for him. You still have to get things done and having someone with your with limited mobility would be even harder. PW is a MUCH better choice.

yep, acceptance day, if you get anything, you'll be moving it in. you do get a few hours with your fam, but it's not too much. you'll most likely be walking around alot anyways... parents weekend is a much better choice between the two, i think. but if you can come for both without money being an issue, definitely do both.

Do you mean that we could have our parents bring this stuff to us on this day? would the AFA have a list of what NOT to bring? and what have you (older) guys done when your day came regarding bringing things from home?

We sent an A-Day package from home which had their underwear and special snacks, watches, and a few other things they wanted. We would not have had a chance to see ours for more than about an hour, so we stayed home and saw them at Parents Weekend. Unless you live within easy driving distance, I would skip A-Day and agree that PW is a better place to spend your time and money.
