Probably one of the first to know, but I received a call from my admissions officer who told me I was accepted into SLS. Starting a thread on those who are accepted.

I applied, but I am not sure what to expect. I live in Oregon, so should I be expecting a call or a letter or such?
 
You will receive a letter in the mail. I was just lucky to receive a call from my admissions officer helping me through the application process.

I'm still awaiting my response...fingers crossed.

What kind of credentials did you have on you application?

That's incredible that you're already accepted, it's been 2 days!

Hopefully I will soon join you!

I was accepted today as well. I did not get a call, I just checked my candidate portal and it showed that I was offered acceptance. BTW, despite the username, I am USMA hopeful as well, do not know which service I want to be in yet ;)

My son applied and on his portal it says:
Summer Leader Seminar (SLS) Files
once you click that it takes you to a screen that says:
Summer Leaders Seminar Offer Kit (Forms) and says SLS offered 1/12/2012

does that mean he got in to SLS?

I apologize if this is a stupid question.

Hah sweet! I'm a tennis player as well... :D Maybe if I get in, I'll see you at a session :D Btw, can you confirm my post above, regarding the screenshot of my SLS page in the candidate portal - is that what your's is like?

For those of who were offered appointments, the term used on the portal was "appointment offered" So I feel it's safe to say that "SLS offered" means you got in to the program! But I'm just trying to connect the dots, I don't know for sure.

For me there is an entirely new tab at the top of the page along with (home, overview, nominations, etc.) and if you click on it, your status will appear in the top right corner of the page, like the picture that was posted on the first page of this thread. If you don't have the tab maybe it means that you sls app hasn't been processed yet.
 
I'm sorry to keep asking stupid questions - I'm super-anxious.

But, what is the name of the new tab? SLS I presume?
 
If you see that it says SLS OFFERED, you will be receiving a letter in the mail regarding your acceptance shortly. But make sure you fill out all the forms on the page by the date stated in your letter or else your acceptance will be revoked.
 
Help

I have kind of a stupid question...I can't find the SLS tab on the west point portal. Could anyone tell me how to get there or link a screenshot? any help would be much appreciated.

By the way, congrats to all those accepted!
