This may go into the "dumb question" category, but if your DS;s (or DD's) portal status shows "Accepted Offer" in red - then you are golden, correct? And we do not need to worry about contacting the Academy or anything like that? I guess my DW and I were getting a little anxious after seeing the posts with the recent emails going out and portal problems, etc. and we have really not had any contact from the Academy since DS accepted. I realize though that they are busy now back there with everything going on, but we just had a little sense of unease, so I thought this was the place to ask this kind of question. Also, does anyone know when the acceptance forms/additional paperwork will come out? I was just thinking it will be within one or two weeks, maybe before the 15th, but maybe someone knows for sure. Is that electronic or will that come via snail mail? Thanks.

Logging Book was emailed last year on May 2nd. A fat FedEx Envelope arrived a few days later.

I was thinking the exact same thing. No word from the academy since my DS accepted offer. Just checked portal to make sure it still says accepted offer. I would take a look at the Logging In book for class of 2023. Some of the information is still the same and you can definitely start the ball rolling on getting a passport and TWIC card. Make sure you keep a copy of birth certificate because they will take the original for passport application and your son will need a copy of birth certificate to get his TWIC card and you need a copy for the academy. I would also look at the required immunizations. My DS was missing a TDAP booster and had to get first injection of Bexsero(2 doses) for meningitis (different than Menactra given at 16). Hope this helps! We are all getting a little anxious. Hopefully Indoc will stay on schedule.

Thanks. DS just went to get TWIC card yesterday. He has passport already and used it for TWIC. So we've got that going for us. Already knew to get up to date on all shots and have shot record to prove it, so if Doctor's office is correct, we are all set there! We are still waiting to make final travel arrangements after INDOC is confirmed! We already have a nice airbnb lined up, but need to make flight arrangements and rental car. Just praying for Indoc to stay on schedule!! Especially for our class of 2020 kids. We just got word that DS's school is planning a "virtual graduation" so now graduation becomes one more thing they are having taken from them.

The easy part was getting into USMMA. Now comes the hard part.

1) Start reviewing required vaccinations. Get your son/daughters vaccination records together.
2) Don't have a passport or have a passport that will expire soon? Start the process now.
3) Wisdom teeth. Review if you child still has them and the process to remove them.
4) TWIC Card - start that process soon.
5) Dental records - contact your son/daughters dentist.

Thanks. Your post actually started me digging into this a little further, so I found out on the USMMA website there is more information about the medical information that needs to be submitted by plebe candidates which is required 4 weeks before Indoc. Here is a link. For class of 2024 parents that have not seen this, you might want to check it out.

USMMA HEALTH SERVICES DOCUMENTS

If you 2024 parents have any questions on the process don't feel nervous about asking. There are plenty of folks here with kids at USMMA and there are plenty of state/national USMMA parent organizations.

Head over to the USMMA National Parent Association to join if your son/daughter has been accepted and they accepted the appointment.
