I was just notified by my senator that I have been appointed. Is there anything I have to do now? Or do I just wait for the BFE? Also are there anythings I can do now to prepare for plebe summer? Workout plans? Things to memorize?

Thanks

Congratulations! But I'm sure everyone would like to know…what district/state are you from?

Run run run and stay healthy. Avoid injuries and invest in bubble wrap.

Buy bubble wrap, and I believe included in your BFE will be a short list of items you MUST memorize before IDay, but nothing to lose sleep over. Navy ranks, President down to Speaker of the House including SECNAV and CNO, just basic stuff. Congrats and good luck!

The rates you need to memorize for I-Day will come in the Permit to Report packet in mid-April. Plenty of time to learn that while you're enjoying your last few months of civilian life! ;-)

Have folks started receiving Permit to Report packets yet?? DD received BFE mid Feb and accepted appointment, sent birth certificate and police records check shortly thereafter. Not that we're paranoid or anythingo_O, but we've not heard boo from academy since then. In hindsight maybe should have sent acceptance certified mail or hand delivered. Now just want to be sure admissions has what they need. After the roller coaster to get here, not leaving anything to chance like depending on US Postal Service (no offense to USPS employees).

Congrats to those with BFE's and best of luck to those still waiting.

You can call admissions and ask if they've received your acceptance. Other than that, no, I don't believe anyone has started to received PTR packets.

@AnthonyJ1866 congratulations! Everyone is recommending you to run... as someone who goes to Maine for summer vacations, beware of the humidity. You have little to none in Maine and coming to Annapolis expect it to be near 90-100% daily. Most of the plebes biggest problem that we hear is the humidity!! Again congratulations
