Accidental Rejection?

I applied for an NROTC scholarship a few weeks ago. About 2 weeks ago, an email was sent to me, and it said that I wasn't accepted and just a little but later, I received another email saying it was an accedent and that they are still evaluating and considering me. Is there any reason i should be worried or excited? Since they said my rejection was an accident, maybe I have a better chance than i thought?
 
Many people got the denial letter and then subsequently received the 2nd letter. You just need to be patient. Given that you just submitted the application, I believe if you're going to get accepted, you'll get your acceptance letter in April. Our daughter's boyfriend submitted one week before app cut off and received his notification of acceptance in April. My daughter applied in October and is still hanging out there in limbo; she's a strong candidate so not sure what they're looking for - thought she'd get this for sure - not to say she won't cause everyone on these posts state to just be patient.

Same here, DS submitted in Sept/Oct. I keep thinking he’ll hear, then nothing. Wish he knew one way or another. It’s hard having so many unknowns.

So you've been waiting to hear something since the Sept/Oct boards? That seems like an awful long time to wait.
 
Submitted everything in October, no decision either way except for the 2 emails last week about SENT IN ERROR.

So NROTC boards and NROTC MO boards are happening at the same time or are they completely separate?
